Trinidad and Tobago and Los Espanoles en el Mundo

This was a very fun two weeks. Carnival can be exhausting but it's worth it!
Lucia Rubio from the Spanish television show Espanoles en el Mundo did an episode in Trinidad with my friend Dani and some other Spaniards living there. It was fun running around with them. April 7 the episode should be online.

I'm with the band: A Night Out with Isaac Koren of The Kin

It's fun when you meet up with friends you haven't seen in a long time. The Kin have been traveling and performing all over the world and now they're in NYC, or at least nearby the city. Here are some pics from a night out that included dancing, shooting pool, riding around in the van, and chatting over drinks at the bar.
Everyone's been telling me about Southside for months so I was glad to get a chance to hang there!

Luca Maroni Presents Sensofwine: Italian Wines at Cipriani

There was a lot of Italian wines flowing in NYC in February with the Waldorf Astoria and Cipriani 42nd Street as sites of tastings of wines from all over Italy.
Wine Emporium presented three top grade wines; a nero d'avola (Kuddia del Moro), a syrah-grenache (Kuddia de Ze) and a sweet wine (Abraxas) made from the Zibibbo grape (moscatello d'Alessandria). These were a highlight of the tasting for me though there were many other good ones too.
Vincenzo Aliani very graciously served me way too much wine for a tasting, but it was good nonetheless, originating from Umbria.
Terre de Trinci put out a good showing as well with wines from Umbria. The Ugolino was to die for, and not expensive at all.

My friend Florian Wupperfeld created CultureLabel along with his associates. On that site you'll find the top selling products in museum stores around the world. His blog gives info about the Tate's Design Prize. 500 pounds plus royalties if you win!
