As a good send off to Paris, I visited the Paris Bar with a friend...Loaded with art, on the walls, on the ceiling, in the window to the street, and most by important artists. You feel like you're at your eccentric uncle's for dinner...

Confetti at the Soho House Berlin

You can try to guess which wildly well-received young German artist drew on napkins then tore them up and used me as a human canvas during dinner at Soho House. No it's not the one in the photograph, who happens to be with the same gallery, and is quite a gem too.

Goethe The Film

I had the good luck through my friend, Stefan Gaertner,  to meet Alexander Fehling and Volker Bruch, two young actors in the new film Goethe, which Stefan produced. We have to wait for subtitles in English or perhaps some horrible dubbing...

Women are still the muse, the subject and often the buyers, at this beautiful gallery in Berlin. A publicly traded company, the model (no pun intended) for a commercially succesful gallery is obviously one worth investigating...

A Few Works From Ai Wei Wei @ Alexander Ochs Galleries Berlin

I met Ai Wei Wei at (Robert) Peter Miller's apartment in the Chelsea Hotel a year or so ago. I liked this exhibition because it highlighted a time (in the 80s) when Ai Wei Wei was in NYC that I was not familiar with.

Private View of the Loch Collection During Artforum

This was one of the best private collection views that I attended during Artforum. Siggi Loch's wife was a wonderful host and made everyone feel comfortable. Carsten Ahrens, Director of  Weserburg, Museum of Modern Art Bremen, spoke knowledgeably about the collection. Sharing the common element of the color blue, all the works on view were of exceptional quality. Everything about the place made one happy to be there; great art, great people, great food and beverages, great sunshine, crisp air and trees :)

I've been here twice and not sure exactly what happens, but still, it was fun...Marcel Eichner had a small work in the front of the space.
