I think today was the last day to see the exhibition of Martin Kippenberger's work at MoMA. I'm so glad I didn't miss this one. There were a few pieces at Christie's for the Post War and Contemporary sales this week, but seeing so much of the work in one place (and boy did he make a lot of work!) was exhilerating. So what if he probably drank himself to death at an early age? His star burned so bright and emitted so much light, well, for us left behind, it was well worth it.
